Did anyone else? read the article on Friday morning about how in 1998 there were 0 (zero) registered lady TVR owners, but as of May '03 there are now 533!!!
Apparently the fairer sex are getting into performance cars like TVR, Lotus and Porsche.

I think this was brought up on Radio 2 on Friday by
Clive Andersson ( sitting in for Jeremy Vines. )

I caught something about more sports cars being owned
by ladies these days and there was a brief exchange between
a lady who tried to bad mouth TVR's reliability
and Clive who was saying the TVR was a real sports car
( almost got the feeling he might have had one? ) and her
BMW wasn't!

Moved away from TVR's after that.

Go create some weather...

Sounds great in principle but have you stopped to consider who would wear the trousers in such a relationship...???

There'll never be any female Big Wedge owners - you need to be pushing 6ft to see over the bonnet and a hairy chest helps with the cars attitude.

Go on - tell me I'm wrong!

I break into a sweat when I remember walking into the office where I used to work, looking down at a desk to see one of the female programmers bending over her desk without a bra and noticing a hair growing from her nipple.

Well, she was Iranian!

The 533 are only registered in womens names so their partners can avoid getting points on their licences!

I don't believe that for a moment. I know of several who owned TVRs in 1998.

One of the previous owners of my Tasmin was a woman... sometime back in the early '80's!
My 390 was previously owned by a lady in Scotland, late 80's/ early 90's.

Wedgie - she was very old (late 80s/early 90s) to have a 390! You see TVRs are neither sexist nor ageist!

My Car, registered on 1st Jan 1998 was owned by a lady.
It was registered to her company though.

The next owner was also a lady & she owned it from Feb 01 to March 02.

So there were lady TVR owners/drivers out there in 1998.
