Morning guys,

After a glowing recommendation from Zippee here - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... i would like you to imagine me kissing your Trevor owning feet in the hope one of you will take pity on a guy that once had a poster of a Chimera on his wall and still cries himself to sleep because he still doesnt have a Cerbera.

I might be able to help out, always enjoy a little run out. Details and pictures of bridesmaids may improve the uptake ;-)

Sorry, its all in the other thread in the link on the first post, I didnt want to bore you all with my ramblings, so tried to keep it short this time. Dates and my actual reason for wanting a very nice person to give up their Saturday probably would help though! biggrin

Hi guys,

Very long time lurker, first time poster. Not sure where to put this, but hope it is allowed.

The lovely Miss Billington and I are getting shackled together in September, and wedding cars are about £600 for an old Roller etc. For 2 hours work and 20 miles, its far too much money when everything else is on a tight budget. Saying that, I dont want her to get out of our Ibiza!

Her uncle has been restoring an E type for the last 4 years and when we got engaged, said it would be ready and he would love to unveil it for the first time for our wedding. He called last night though and told us he has just sold it!

Long story short, does anyone here have an old prestigious / anything better than an Ibiza that might like to drive 20 miles from St Albans to Ware with us in the back? Can pay a little money, all fuel and expenses and you would be very welcome at the reception for food and drinks. Will be a Saturday in Sept, looking at 13th/20th right now.

Thanks, Carl smile

At the last wedding we had about 14 TVRs, a mixture of Cerbs, Chims, T350, Sags and managed perectly well to get the whole wedding party in.

I thought that this was going to be about all of the "bridesmaids" being spoken for.

I did think about putting something along those lines but thought I better not put it. anyway sounds like fun.

jestermusicdrink A wedding reception - and no long forgotten relatives to have to be nice to!! What could be better... Being just 20 minutes from St Albans count me in UNLESS unforseen issues closer to the time, arise. Should be able to confirm for sure about 6 weeks prior if there are others up for it. Full leather interior in my TVR and air-conditioning if it's even too hot to have the roof off - what more could a bridesmaid ask for winkwavey

Oh, by the way - no need to kiss my feet.. in fact preferably no need to kiss any of me Carl! biggrin

Well the last wedding we did manage to get the whole wedding party to the church on time in a fleet of TVRs.. however the OP does say he needs to get 'us' in the back. I cant think of any TVR (even a Cerb) that will get a fully gowned up bride and the groom in the back.....

However if its just the bride or groom going to the church then its game on. Getting from the church to the reception is an altogether different problem, could the groom sit on the parcel shelf in the chim hehe

Anyway I'm deffo up for the getting everyone to the church bit just watch out or it may turn into a TVR meet like the last one did !

Have to say, I am amazed at the response here and honestly sitting here grinning at the thought of turning up in a TVR, and that nice people still exist in this world biggrin

One small thing I feel I should point out though, and am hoping this wont put anyone off, and thats that all three of the (spoken for!) bridesmaids will be leaving the church early with the in laws and a few others to pick up the buffet stuff, and to decorate the barn in Ware where we are holding the reception.

So it would only be myself and Jen that would need a ride. Again, really hope this doesn't put anyone off and i am hugely grateful to any and all that have offered to help, but we would need at least three seats frown
Anyone that would still be kind enough to help out, please do let me know and although very cheesy, you really would be making the day complete.

As stated in the previous thread I'll certainly help out if I'm free. I'd love to commit now but can't really do so with it being so far away.
Let us know when you get a confirmed date.
