Has anyone ever ordered a full replacement carpet set from the Factory?

Seems that they are doing a full trimmed set for a Chimaera for under £580 which seems very reasonable to me.

On a similar topic, do they keep a record of carpet colours? Only I need a piece to do a repair in the driver's footwell. Gawd knows how I missed that there was a big chunk missing when I bought it!

I've just had a full carpet set fitted at the factory, as part of a retrim, and I can vouch for the quality of the work.It does lift the appearance of the car and the trimmer is excellent.Go for it,you won't regret it!

Yes they do.

If you phone the the Factory and ask for Danielle, she will be able to answer any trim/colour questions.

Tonyrec,

Let us know how you get on if you go for the new carpets - I need some for mine and would like to have some direct comments....

Cheers,

I wasnt in for new carpets but just contacted the factory to see how much the original carpets were. The price quoted included Vat but not fitting.
I figured that as they are all tailer made then with a little time and patience then it shouldnt be too hard putting the jigsaw together.

I had mine retrimmed about 5 months ago, good job was done by a TVR Trimmer BUT, if im honest.....the carpet is not as good a quality as the original by a loonnnnggggg way.

All i will say,is that if anyone is in the market for new carpets, then call the factory (or dealer) because by buying the original carpets will probably only add about £200 to the final bill even if you get an independant to fit them.

Im very tempted seeing as the car looks like new on the outside.....could be a project after Christmas (if i work a bit harder).

Aren't they charging £30 for this sort of info anymore?

Strange - I've just asked this question on the Chim section. I seem to recall in some earlier threads that Martrim do a complete interior retrim for about £500. I was hoping to get carpets from the factory a lot less than that! Do you know if they sell bits of sets?
