Oh my god.....had my 36k service done over the last couple ,of days.....very good service and had lots of stuff done (windows, starter motor, brakes)...and a Cerbera as a courtesy car for 3 days....but when I got the bill I was slightly gobsmacked...not to mention the wifes reaction...she now wont talk to me...the bill was £1168 ....£400 parts,£580 labour + the rest VAT.
Oh, and I also had the baffles removed!!!

OK, so where do I need to go to get a Cerbie as a courtesy car? Danger is, I might end up buying one...

Depends what was done Nick, but that doesn't sound outrageous for three day's work. I bet they advised costs on the way too?

Your only mistake was showing the missus the bill - !!!

so just over £1000 to get a cerbera serviced and a wife to shut up. I wish I'd bought a Cerbera

Nick,
that ain't bad if it is a Cerbera you are having serviced, never had a bill for less than £2,500 when i had mine done. She has gone now but i would own another one as soon as i can afford to.

Think I must be really easy going - Mr Big had a big bill last service (new rad plus a load of other things) - in fact probably three times what my car is worth - but I didn't make a fuss at all.

Just stored the information in my memory banks and used it as a negotiating tool to justfy spending £3k on the granite worktop in my new kitchen

Yes very nice it is too - black with green and gold flecks - and will be highlighted by halogen pyramid lights

A Cerb as a courtesy car....

Was this a Suffolk dealer.......!!!!

If so, I will be heavily campaigning our Essex dealer to get rid of the Suzuki ignoramus's he gives us!!!!

As for the charge for the Chimaera...well...it's worth it....you know it is!!!!!!!

Personally I have very attractive beige formica

I feel a small investment coming on. Not too much though, just enough to make the house more saleable. Next one might well have granite........

Edited to say... although if it came to either granite worktops or adding a Cerb to 'the collection', I'd definitely tell him to go get the Cerb. In fact, I tried to talk him in to one last week, but he resisted.

The granite will be replacing the 'basket weave' formica in my kitchen

Some great responses!!!....it has been nearly 5 hours since she saw the bill and she is starting to defrost!!! I am now allowed in the house. I have some massive grovelling to do
I enjoyed the Cerby for 3 days, but mine felt a bit flat when I got it back!!
Looks like I better do some overtime
