Proper way to bleed the brakes??
Discussion
Were the brakes spongy to start off with.. or was you just changing the fluid ?
Assuming the latter - as the others have said and also do a final pressure blead.
Have the assistant tighten the bleed nut - you pump up the pedal (3 or 4 strokes) and hold the pedal down - now have them release the bleed nut - then hold the pedal down and tighten nut.
Did any air come out - if so repeat.
It's worth saying - undo the nut the minimum as this if its slack in the thread can induce air too.

How did you change the fluid?
Usually you'd simply bleed them, but if you allowed the reservoir to get low while you were doing it you could have got air into the master cylinder. Depending on the geometry of the master cylinder this might be tricky to get rid of. If you bled the brakes by pumping the pedal, this uses a lot more travel than normal and can damage the seal if the bore is worn.

They are pretty cool and well worth the investment.
