SP = Silverstone Performance.

Don't think you'll pick them up anywhere else!

The Sp12s are a modified Team Dynamics rim, so the ONLY place you'll get them is Silverstone Performance.

Here's the 'original' Team Dynamics rim:

So call: http://www.silverstoneperformance.co.uk/

To the best of my knowledge; they have a different offset and have had the lettering 'shaved' off the rim.

someone else mentioned this..the cheaper wheels do not have the correct offset ..which is not a big deal in a 4pot corsa etc etc, but is in 380bhp tvr !

Compomotive offered to make some MO alloys for me with a bespoke offset for around £500 a set.

So, there are options out there.

But, we mustn't give SP too much of a hard time, we need people like them to keep making 'stuff' for our cars. biggrin

Just walking around Demon Tweeks yesterday looking for a torque wrench and I got chatting to the Alloy wheels manager.

He told me those SP12 are Team Dynamics with either the letters machined off or filled in!

Anyway, I told him he was having a laugh. So we took one out to compare to the SP12's on my Cerbera. They are the same wheel! Tweeks say they can get them with the correct offset as the SP12's. Apparently he has sold loads for TVRs.

A set for a chimera cost £520 and Demon tweeks are not cheap. So god knows what you can get them for.

Is there an echo in here?

The Team Dynamics rims are becoming popular with the sprinters, as the tyre choice for 15" rims becomes more and more limited some people are moving over to the TD 16" rims.

Here's Steve Cox's V8S wearing a set:

and Hugh Davies' Chimaera:

Seen some nicket TSW Rocket whhels but I can't get the 18 x 8 for the rear.

Really like the SP12's and have a set on the Cerbera, but an extra £300 to get rid of the embossed logo seems too much now I am in the know.

That link shows the Chimaera with an offset of 18. Now I know nothing about wheels so a while back I asked around and was told PCD108 with ET25 front and ET33 rear. Is ET offset or is that something else ? and if it is what would happen if you put 18 all round ?

The SP12 wheels are designed correctly for the car. I know Matt and Phil spent a lot of time getting them right. You could of course take a chance and get Team Dynamics rims ands hope they're right. TBH to save a few quid I wouldn't bother when someone else has already done the work to get it right. The compo MO are great wheels but heavy. The SP12's are much lighter than spiders and stronger too. I've just had anthracite SP12's put on my Cerbera and the car feels a lot nicer to drive.

Ceejay

P.S. I have a set of spiders which are now surplus to requirements if anyone is interested.
