what's the black stuff called that is sealed around the lenses and the rear quater lights, and were can i gt it from ?

I think you are after sikaflex, I think you can get it from most motor factors.

thanks for the reply, but i've been told that sikaflex is the clear glue that bonds the lenses to the body work, then the black stuff fills the gaps.

I had to have a lens refitted recently and they used black Sikaflex.

Its also known as windscreen sealant.

Most motor factors stock it

If your filling gaps then a compound known as Dum Dum is required.
It used to be widely available from factors..
You can buy it from Frosts the classic car supplies company by mail order.

The stuff you are looking for and as was used by TVR on all the cars is Loctite 598 its between £22 to £30 depending where you shop. Try> Tooled-up.com
