TVRs to New Zealand

I have met a number TVR owners on this site who wanted to move to NZ with their cars. It has been a problem for us all since a rule change in April 2002.

I thought there might be PHers who would be intersted to know that this problem has been fixed.

There are a couple of ways around the obstacle: there is a provision for immigrants' vehicles, and another for "special interest" vehicles, ie, collectible, high-performance, 2-door sports coupes/convertibles. The new rules take effect from 8th May.

Thats excellent news! I'm a Kiwi, and although I'll be in the UK for the foreseeable future, its good to know that this has been fixed.
