Tuscan in Stunt Disaster
Five injured, three seriously
Discussion
Luca Brazzi and I had a visit from a news team covering this very story last night. When I've rebuilt my PC, I'll try and get some pictures of the evening together.
Mr. Brazzi took the intrepid reporter out for a little run around as part of the filming and the trademark TVR grin was present when we pulled over to swap the cameraman from my car into his.

Much as i like high powered cars, big V8's and large displacements, this kind of control loss seems all too common on those cars that have the above traits and rear wheel drive.
Ive never been a fan of tail happy cars for just the reasons brought to light in many a thread on PH.
Snap oversteer followed by an overcorrection will nearly always end in tears, or worse still, a death.
The fact that a stuntman, trained in car control can get it so terribly wrong shows that cars such as these must be treated with respect and care at all times.
This is why id advocate numpties being assigned 1.0litre micras and front wheel drive.
Drive swift, but drive safe guys.

Totally agree, you should treat all cars with respect, particularly those with extreme power. As a testament to how not to do things, when Luca B and I were out filming, three laxxers went past, driving like idiots, all desperate to 'perform'
for the camera.
This incident also raises the point that people do not think it's dangerous to be stood in the vicinity of a fast moving ton + of metal (or metal and fibreglass). At least if we could sort this fairly obvious point of common sense out there'd be fewer, better protected casualties.
Steve.

This engine will be a Speed Six...

Something which may appear blindingly obvious - but not to the average rally spectator it would seem. How more of them never get killed I will never know. It's frightening watching it on the telly.
The driver was an actor and not a trained stuntman:

...and yeap driving high powered rear wheel drive cars fast is dangerous doh!
Drive safe,
