There is something wrong with it, it has chassis problems amongst other things. Will need a reasonable sum spending (and possibly an unreasonable sum depending on how far the rot extends) - I would say fairly priced and a potential cheap car for someone able to take on the work, the labour to sort a chassis being the potential real killer on the cost front.

Look at it this way - if you need to have the outriggers done professionally without any input of yourself (like stripping/rebuilding the car) and assuming that nothing else is wrong with that car except for the 'normal' stuff associated with a cerbie of that era, you'll likely end up having spent about the same as when buying one that doesn't have the problem (yet) - this is probably why Fernies haven't rectified it themselves (I suppose they would have done that if they'd have trouble selling their available workshop hours to paying customers, though).

If you have the time, skill and/or contacts and inclination to to it yourself though and have a garage big enough to lift the body...
