hot tick over problem on restarts

can anyone help. i have a tuscan mk2 after starting cold and not being used for 2 days i drive trough urban traffic for 10 miles car gets very hot .i park up for 30mins .then the car starts but hardley any steady revs on depreesing ackcelerator as if fuel starvation.later after 80 mils stop for 20 litres of fuel car stuters for 5 miles revs at 2000 or below then cuts out.1 min later starts fine and is ok for rest of journey.ps i believe it not be fuel related but to do with heat generated many thanks bettyboo.

You might need a tune up. The idle drops over time an if this needs set then you also have to set each air trumpet up with a syncrometer so it is sucking the right amount of air. This only affects the idle. Once on throttle your fuel air mix is taken over by the ECu ( so I have been told). My tuscan now has a up and down idle especially when hot and have been told the above. If you have the software to plug into the ECU then you could check the adaptives. If they are up at 20 % then it will need a tune up.
