Temperature Sender
Discussion
Hi there
Anybody know ball park figures of resistance of the Range Rover temp sender. I have broken (and can't seem to get a replacement!!) the brass adaptor for the TVR temp sender and would like to use the R-R one as a temporary (or maybe permanent !!) measure.
I read on one of the posts that a 120 - 200 Ohm resistor in series waould do the trick. Tried it and gauge is dead, no movement at all.
So maybe the R-R one is goosed having never been used.
I have ball park figures for the Caerbont (TVR) sensor but can find nothing definitive on the R-R one.
Consequently I'm driving "blind" at the mo' and not too happy with that.
So, any help appreciated.

As an extra to that last post,
If anyone knows of or anyone who does know where I could get one of these adaptors I would be more than grateful.

Hi there
TRied RPI, no joy. Not Real Steel yet.
Problem is that it looks like it is a TVR peculiar part. It is fitted into what would normally be the R-R bypass hose connection. Tried a few local engineering firms but no-one is interested in setting up for a single part.
So, really struggling right now.
Only hope is someone who has an old/ seized/ defunct TVR engine who would maybe release the part to me.
Trying another couple of options but not altogether hopeful
Thanks
