To roof or not to roof......that is the question
Discussion
Off to the Champagne region tomorrow for 5 days of fun in the V8S, this will be our third time in the S, and the only issue is that if you pack the roof, it severly cramps your champagne carrying capacity for the return trip.
The weather forecast is a little on the damp side..............so it looks like we will be getting wet then :-)
Sadly this will be my last run is the S, after 2 1/2 years and over 20,000 miles she is going up for sale when I get back :-( I'd keep her, but have a serious parking crisis at home so she has to go, so if you are loking for a cheap and reliable V8S, keep your eyes peeled on the Pistonheads classifieds.

Because that means my last decent length drive in the car would be with the roof on, and as I've only driven it with the roof on 5 times that seems a shame. :-)
Fair play to the car though, it certainly has never been damp or musty despite getting caught in some fairly major downpours, I will miss it horribly, especially on crisp winter mornings, assuming I can sell it of course :-)

Well that was fun...a bit wet, but fun. Pictures of the trip below, time for me to give her a good clean and service before popping her in the for sale section :-(
If anyone needs a good place to stay in the Epernay region, and by good I mean safe parking, a free pool table and Champagne at 11 Euros a bottle, let me know.

Just off the M20 waiting for the last car to arrive before catching the ferry, a bit damp.

Finally the last straggler arrives, even damper

In Epernay, very damp.

Nearly home, no longer wet, but somewhat grubby

Thanks, she's some way off show condition, some bodywork marks, the seats are a bit tired, but she still goes well, and the noise is fantastic.
Never been much of a fan of show cars, they are for driving, and I'm sure whoever the next owner is will have as much fun as I have over the last 2 and a bit years.
Hopefully the weather will be ok tomorrow so I can start on the cleaning and service.
