Hello,

have anybody realistic datas of the acceleration from a Chim/Griff 5.0 and a Tuscan from
0-100 miles and 0-120/130 miles? I can find for the Chim/Griff 5.0 0-100 miles 10.5 sec from
the TVR data sheet and sometimes I read 8sec for the Tuscan (0-100 miles) but I think this datas are not really realistic, or? Perhaps anybody have measured datas,

Kind regards from Munich

Depends what you mean by 'realistic'.

Read the car mag' figures (which you hope stops everyone trying to race you) and then re-join the real world where the price of a new clutch, tyres, and UJs come into play.

A similarly powered automatic is likely to wipe the floor with most manuals, on the road, most of the time.

To answer your question...try carfolio.com smile

for the Chim the measured 9.5sec for 0-100 mph, this sounds good, I found datas in the TVR Power Portfolio for the 5.0 and the measured 13.5sec. This would be a big difference, but would figures would be normal?

Kind Regards
Manfred

From figures I have achieved in my Tuscan:-

0-119mph in 12.4sec (1/4 mile @ Santa Pod)

0-155mph in 25.79sec (3/4 mile @ Fighting Torque)

Comparing these times to acceleration data of various cars from EVO mag, etc, and extrapolating back - the 0-60 of around 4 seconds and the 0-100 of approx 8-9 seconds would appear to be the case.

Bloody good fun finding out too...

And these would pretty much be the best figures a Tuscan could achieve I reckon. I was there on both occassions when Nelly1 set the above times and that was up against "S" spec Tuscan cars as well as Cerbs.

Nelly, 1/4 mile time and speed will be provided at FT08. Have to agree through, your Tuscan is definitely the one to beat.
