Secuerity of Leven showercap?
Discussion
Got one of these for my chimaera. I'd say that it is pretty safe.
The front and backs of it do have flaps that you need to put under the bonnet and boot and they are secured when you shut them. Have found that it is possible to get the front end out without opening the bonnet, but reckon that the back half is very secure. Also has the benefit of being custom fitted. An all over cover may fit any number of cars, but the hood covers are not likely to fit anything else. Well, apart from a griff maybe!

I have a full cover from Custom Covers on my Tamora. I have fitted eyelets in the straps (4) that go under the car so it can be locked on. The cover is very "fitted" so will only fit a tamora. Its very good and covers the car to the ground.
Just thought you would like to know in case it's of some use to you.

I would be grateful if you could send me details of your cover, including price - I'm after something that covers the whole Tamora and locks in place. Please email me offline if that's easier.

Got mine for the griff from Specialised Car Covers. Web site is 'www.carcoversuk.com'. Can't remember how much it was but it completely hugs the griffs body and stops a couple of inches above the floor. Its fully waterproof and breathable so really does protect the car. Dunno if I'd recommend it for use with a daily driver though. Its very tight fitting and I never put the thing on unless the cars been washed or is very clean.

The web site is www.carcoversuk.com and the one for the Tamora cost about £200. See Snarfy's comments though.
We can confirm everything that has been said here. All our Hoodcovers have the double flap, bonnet & boot for security. Each cover is car specific (Griffith/Chimaera is the same) so no point in stealing one unless you have the same car! We have sold hundreds over the years and have never heard on one being stolen off the car.
Wildfire, here is what I said after I purchased mine (which I am still just as happy with now!)

If anyone was wondering what the Leven Technology car cap looked like on, and whether they should shell out 150 big ones?........
Here's a couple of pics of mine. IMO well worth it, as I know a full car cover would not get put on evry night due to my laziness. This comes with a pouch and folds up to the size of less than a briefcase.
What you can't see from the pic, is another flap stitched in underneath, that tucks in the front of the boot lid to secure the rear end when the boot is closed.

Wing mirror quick release clips hold the sides, and another flap tucks in under the bonnet, so when all locked up, you cannot take it off without both access to the car, and ignition (for boot release).

I think this cap is well made, soft lining on inside and leather look outside - seems and construction appear heavy duty.
The TVRCC secretary recommended this to me, as she has had one for the last five years and swears by it.

How much was your cover? I am thinking of getting the Leven cover, for daily use and the a larger on for heavy down pours and really bad weather, if it locks in place, it would be good.
It was £200. Its very good fabric that breathes and is waterproof a bit like Gore-Tex. its also soft on the inside so its kind to the paint work. It doesn't lock as standard but I put some eyelets in the straps so they can be locked with a small padlock, easy to do.
