Richard Porter writes a favorable article/column in this months EVO in the PetrolHead column on page 61.

The summary is is: He dislikes TVR and all they stand for, and loves nothing better than to poke fun at them. TVRs Ben Samuelson lends him a T350 and he loves it and TVR all makes sense.

It is an amusing read.

Personally I always disliked journalists like Porter who whilst anonymous had a reasonably amusing idea, went on to kick-the-arse out of it, whereupon it became less funny and then finally sold out to the main stream mags’ in search of fame and fortune. However I'm sure if I met him I'd understand! Rich....

Maybe "Good House Keeping" fired him.

Maybe so. Here is a link to an article in which Jeremy Clarkson questions whether he is sufficiently heterosexual to drive the new Tuscan R.

Is EVO on subscription only? I keep hearing lots about it but can never find a copy anywhere.

Isn't Richard Porter the man behind www.sniffpetrol.com
as well ?
If so, he wrote already very funny things about cars in general.

It should be available in WHSmiths and the like. Even my local Tesco stocks it. Being a popular mag it often sells out though. New issue just out, so should be plenty around.

No, unfortunately I'll be busy preparing for my winter exhibition that weekend. I'm sure you'll be able to lay waste to Northamptonshire without me.

One comment from the EVO article on the T350c is just beeeauutifull........

Porter says....
"Turns out it's impossible to hate anything in which hoofing the accelerator immediately unleashes an enormous pack of mechanical wolves to kick you in the back and bark phlegm down your earholes"

How cool is that!!!!!!

Maybe I'm too used to TVR peformance but the demonstrator I tried couldn't unleash a turd from a bucket OK so you have to rev it but 7,000rpm round Ipswich ain't practical. I need a V8, dammit!
