I have seen this around in various adverts (Ithink) and also on a PH ad banner.
Does this car have some kind of TVR fame?

The reason I ask is that I have seen it driving around locally.

If you watch the film "Swordfish" with John Travolta in it, that should answer your question.

This car (well the registration on the same colour) was used on all the factory shots for the original Tuscan brouchure in 2000.
It was also the car lent to Auto Express/Evo/Autocar at various times together with W995 AFR the Chameleon Orange Tuscan.

It is good with the history side of things, but may have been tracked slightly

A veritable mine of information....

...can we do our colour-spotting double act again some time?

Currently looking for a minty green Tuscan - I think Flasher's got his eye on the Griff in the same combination...

(see thread on biscuits in Griff forum...)

wasn't that car a soft-top, or are all Tuscans removable hard-tops?

When I was at BNG, most, if not all of the Tuscans had their roof's off and there was a roll-over bar on the back. I'm sure that bar is missing on the film. I can and will check later I think.

Nope. Is the same as standard in the film and in real life.

Has anyone noticed that in the film when the car is driving the speedo is at zero?!
You have probably discussed it a million times before though.

BTW W988AFR parks outside my office everyday too.
If you read this mate I'll come and say hello the next time I see you. Im away for 2 weeks though.
(We use your lateness to work each day as a cue to stop working and have another coffee!
If we dont see you we always hear you! My desk faces the rear car park on the top floor).
