I usually hate topics like this, what I'm paying has no baring on how cheap you should be able to get insurance for...
But I do like to gloat: £600 - 5k a year - 23 years old - 4.2 Cerb - Hagerty.
23 years old, 4.2 cerb- thats pretty much me. Just been to Hagerty's website though and it says that they only insure over 25's?But I do like to gloat: £600 - 5k a year - 23 years old - 4.2 Cerb - Hagerty.

I did get a quote from Haggerty for a Tasmin 350i, no NCB, no points, not garaged (on a drveway) 5k per year and living in LS12 (Read: Lebanon)
£500
I got a quote on a 4.5 Cerb LW - £387 garaged/4k (28yrs) with Hagerty £500
Did a 'confused.com' initial search, Elephant £702 IIRC?

and I can't afford one

Just thought I'd post a quick update- turns out despite what it says on their website, if you phone up the people at Hagerty, and speak to them very nicley, they will in fact offer insurance to under 25's. End result is a quote for 428 quid, which even included free breakdown cover. I am, to say the least, a very happy chappy.
