Hi just converted to K3 from old Emerald. The converted map doesn't suit engine, would like to get engine to run again b4 being tuned. Any one got a K3 map for Tvr RV8 about 5.0 with throttle bodies running wasted spark and coupled injectors. Uses Yellow cossie injectors.

The original is a very old M3D dos map. Karl has converted it but I have gone from drivers fireing coil and 8 injectors at same time to wasted spark and 2 injectors. Karl said it wouldnt be very good. It started the car ran untill it fouled the plugs.

ah i see. well youre going to struggle finding a map to the spec of your engine, but you cna do a lot of tweaking to get it running and create a map that at least gets you running on part throttle just by driving around the local roads when its quiet. that will get you mobile so you can get to a rolling road. or just trailer the car somewhere and let them sort it?

Rumbly,

There is a RV8 running throttle bodies map here for download :

(It's just above the Vauxhall maps section(3 above))

Humph
Not sure what is going on. Getting the program corrupted. Downloaded map that I didn't put in to ECU.
So started again. Im not happy that ecu is working properly as when you press throttle the Load site doesn't move for 3 secs.
Confused.

I have mailed Dave at Emerald hes in on Monday. I am just glad I started the engine on my old system to make sure it ran well after a cam change. So I am 97% confident its not a motor problem. Must admit I am confident with a wireing diagram but dont like fiddling with programs till I understand them.

Nice - similar spec to mine .. although my valves are bigger and the cam is a 256..

I have a set of TB's being made - also 48's..

What did you do with the water feeds from the heads to thermostat .. or is it built into the manifold design. Who made your TB's (JE / Wildcat / Luminition (Jenvey)?)

You might like to know that another PH'er : V8IAN has a RV8 with TB's in a mk1 Cortina..

I think I have JE manifolds. The thermostat is a seperate item connected to the manifolds via samco hose and fits upfront. I have Jenvey TB's. What heads do you have? Vizard or Merlin?. I wanted to use 256 cam but Needed more room in pistons. So 248 it was.

My heads are Wildcat's..

Don't suppose you could take a picture of the pipe arrangement where the pipes leave the head and another of the thermostat.

Just to thank everyone who replied.
All set up now with Dave at Emerald. Well worth the 10 hour round trip for him. Really good results and now a verry happy chappy.
