Using 3000 M daily ?

hello,

I'm french (Sorry for my bad english level)and i'll certainly buy a 3000M tvr. It's one of the first models (1972) but the actual owner told me that the maitenance was always done on time and that the chassis is brand new. The car has less than 100 000 km.
I want to have your feelings about this model and to know if some of you are using it daily.

I used a 1600M daily for a few years, it was off the road for a bit whilt I took the body off and rebuilt the chassis (and the suspension, and brakes, and this and that and the other!!). It was fine, a little crude but great fun to drive. The weakest (IMHO) part of the 1600 is the diff, yours is different as it comes from a 2500 so that should be ok. The v6 should be pretty sound and there are may places to get them rebuilt, tuned etc.

I would say use it, expect to get your hands dirty and make sure you keep general maintanence up to date and you'll be fine.

I agree with DavidD . I had a 3000M for 5 years and used her daily . Keep every thing greased , give the engine a service every 5000 miles and you should have no major problems . Watch out for the UJ's these are the weakest link on any M .
