Mid Essex Meet October- Convoy White Hart

Next Sunday is the second Sunday of the month which means another Mid Essex meet and another Mid Essex convoys from the White Hart.

I'm not at the October meet so Ray will be meeting you at the White Hart.

Most will know the drill by now, but for those that don't (or forget, or pretend to forget) we'll be meeting at the White Hart as usual from about 11:00 for the main convoy leaving at 12:00, and if you're joining the Southend pose pre meet, at the bays on Thorpe Bay front by the yacht park (between Maplin Way Thorpe Hall Avenue) and between for 10.15 to 10.30 leaving at 10.45 (or thereabouts).

How do I get to the White Hart..?

1) Take the A12 towards Colchester,
2) Turn off at J19 (Boreham) – keep in the left-hand lane,
3) Take the 2nd exit,
4) Follow the road, it turns to a 40mph,

The White Hart is on your left a few hundred yards further on.
If you get to the roundabout, you have gone too far..!

I'll be down at Southhampton in a very nice hotel at a birthday party and hopefully a free bar. You're a nice bunch, but you don't beat a free bar.

Typical turnout used to be 45 + TVRs.

Not so many these days as with a lot of Meets...petrol is a factor for most.

But as I'm gonna be there waving them all in they know they've got to turn up...

Expect Christmas will be my next visit. Dad's birthday on Sunday, and besides which the Good Lady is not best of friends with me or the Cerb again, having poured a load more money into it, with no end in sight. Running costs averaging at £500 a month without petrol etc.

Sometimes that's the way these days.
The thread certainly doesn't generate the sort of pages it did before, but that doesn't usually affect the turnout....

The Lotus guys are with us so I'm hoping that people will roll out of their comfy beds and join us....

Surprisingly good turn out today, considering the dense Fog in Southend when i started, turned out to be a good day
Must have been 30 - 40 Tivs + the Lotus's
