With my Tuscan having now covered over 45,000 miles, it is inevitable that there will be some lows to go with the highs of TVR ownership, and the last 12 months or so have seen more lows than I’d have really liked.

Some of you may have seen a few of my posts over the last few months asking for advice about my recent second engine failure on my Tuscan, and while I tried my best to resist naming and shaming, for anyone who knows me or looked at my profile, it wouldn't have been too hard to work out that it was Castle TVR who I was unhappy with. I was disappointed with the service I felt I had received, and it's also fair to say that there was a difference of opinion over the cause of the failure.

To cut a long story short, I have spoken at length with Giles Cooper (co-owner of Castle), and things have now been resolved to our mutual satisfaction. Therefore I think it's only fair that I post an update to my previous threads to state that there was a happy ending to this after all. thumbup

These days, it's easy to think that business owners don't really care about keeping customers happy, but I was impressed by the efforts Giles put into trying to resolve this amicably and fairly, and because of this, I’m now confident that I’ll continue to be a customer of theirs in the future.

Glad to hear that you have sorted things out with Castle..

I am a Sales Manager for a very customer orientated company and good business practice is nearly always acheived by setting customer expectation levels correctly and also a bit of compromise when needed. It is hard out there for all businesses currently and I think customer happiness is paramount (80% of my business comes from referalls)...

Glad you got it sorted, Giles is fantastic, had a long history with him and I have never heard a bad word said about him or when he owned TVR Centre Barnet.

Next time you speak to Giles - please say hello from me..

Now, when are you coming out to play..?
