If your fed up like me of buying off the shelf wheel cleaner at a cost dearer than liquid gold try Comma Hypa Clean. Its non toxic, non caustic and works as good as wonder wheels. You can buy it in 5 litre cans from ant motor factor ie motaquip, brown brothers or autella. I put it in an old spray bottle and clean wheels with cheap brushes from wilkinsons.

Also use Sugar Soap - works a treat.

Although when I asked Fernies what to use when I bought mine they told me if it got so dirty that I needed to use a special cleaner on the wheels they would come round and take it back

I second that. I wash them after every outing with a bucket of warm water - takes all of 2 minutes - and they never get dirty enough to need anything else.

Not every outing it’s my daily driver
But at least once a week not just a rinse but a good scrub, especially the inside of the drums that get caked in brake dust.

Sad I know, but they do look good when there're clean!

I heard that Big Al took his wheels into the bath with him (and his duck of course!).

My local BMW dealer always made a great job of the alloys (750 style on 730) and they said they used a weak acid...

I always use Autoglym's Clean Wheels. Just spray it on, wait 30 seconds and rinse off. Works a treat even if there is a load of grime on your wheels.
