Leaky PAS "U" bend
Discussion
on the Chim ( and the Griff too I suspect ) there is a stainless "U" bend for the PAS under the pump. The 2 pipes that join here with jubilee clips are constantly leaking - not much about 1-2" circle of fluid on the floor after 3-4 days in the garage. The clips are as tight as I can dare get then but I thought about either taping the ends of the "U" with that amamgamating rubber tape then refitting the U. OR just tape over the tube/U interface with tape to stop the drips - any experience - advice gladly received.
Is it a problem just taking the "U" out to do this or will I have problems with air lock etc - is there a way to air bleed the system afterwards.

They all seem to seep at those joints after 5-6 years. Easiest thing is to get the pipe replaced at the next service, or try replacing the jubilee clips yourself - I did this - b1tch to get at. I'm going to get the pipe replaced at the next service now as it's seeping a smidge at the fluid container end (jubliees have given up the job and rubber is perished).
Where is the bleed wotsit on the PAS rack then? (I've not looked).
