Missed opportunity at that price but with all the benefits of buying retail will surely be snapped up at that price if car is all it seems.

If this is the one from Watford I went to see it when it was up privately for 19k. I ended up spending 21k on a car 6 months older.
The stone chips/paintwork was bad - reflex = very expensive.
Used regularly for a 5 mile commute in heavy traffic, interior was tatty and something just didn't feel right. It just seemed very unloved with too many bits that required sorting out. It also needed new diff bushes, rear tyres, exhaust mounts, engine mounts, wheels refurbing and other bits.

Ask yourself this - why did a low mileage 2005 car in one of the nicest colours not sell at 19k when more expensive, older higher mileage cars were selling fast?

I don't know for certain it is but it does sound very much like it.
May be worth a phone call as if it is a different car it could be worth checking out.

ETA - just looked at the 5th pic (interior shot) and the bolster looks ripped in exactly the same place as the Watford one.

I remember the reg plate starting VX54*** Can't be many like that. Also mileage the same and the private ad has now disapeared from both here and A/T.

Yes this is the car from Watford, recognise the plate - and the tear in the drivers seat bolster you can see in the pic !

Why does the advertisement say "Fantastic condition" is this not a mis representation of the stare of the car, for a car that’s done only 12k miles I would be pretty pissed off if I travelled all the way to York to find it in this state.

What's not to say the dealer hasn't fully prepared the car? (excluding the stone chips)

Yes, seen that, Stunning car and high on my wish list.
Unfortunatly I have to either sell my M3 first or find a decent P/X deal frown

Ah! I know the feeling. There were a couple of 350s that I really liked the look of but couldn't see due to not having sold my Chim.
What sort of p/ex prices have you been offered? Presumably these are a fair chunk below normal m/value? If so and you're OK with a part ex deal why not try putting it up in the classifieds for that sort of price, then going in for a private deal on a T350 with a cash deal equivalent to what you'd have managed with a p/ex at a dealer?

May well be doing something along those lines.
I have a deal in the pipe line with a car, but the guy is on holiday, so hopefully this will happen soon when he is back home. if not then there maybe a bargain price M3 for sale soon.

The state of the interior and wheels has no relation to mileage but the other items are certainly more of a worry as they have presumably occurred since last service but as it has only done 12K it must only have done circa 2500 miles at most since its last service assuming similar mileage each year. confused
