The plan for a convoy is as follows:

Meet at McDonalds car park on A414(hertford)/A10 roundabout at 10am (sunday)
Leave at 10:30
Head up A10 to A602
A602 to Watton at stone
Through Watton and take long scenic country lane all way to Walkern
Through Walkern to join up with A507 at cottered
A570 to Baldock
A1 to Astwick (Tudor Oaks Pub)

Trip time around 40mins.

Make sure you have fuel because the filling station at the meet point is closed.
