Left the chim in a car park yesterday only to come back and find that some careless manouvering by someone had resulted in a large "abrasion" on the rear wing. Needless to say no contact number left.

The damage is not through the paint completely. What is best way of dealing with this, will it need a respray?

Impossible to say without seeing it, but it should polish out if the abrasion hasn't gone through the clear coat

Feel for you. I got a call from the wife Friday afternoon saying one of her colleauges has reversed all down the side of our Chimaera.
When she got the car home it wasn't as bad as my mind had led me to believe but will still need a bodyshop.
Took it to one this morning and and they say the whole door will need doing and it'll need blending in to front and rear wings too, no indication of price yet, but Fernies are getting me a quote next week too - I'll keep you informed,

Cheers RiverGirl.
Thing is Jo uses the TVR for work daily and staff are often coming in saying they have reversed in to it as a wind up. She usually replies with the 'Well as long as you haven't scratched it' routine, but this time the girl said she had!

It's a real but using it daily I guess the odds are greater that something will happen.
Amazing how calm I am about it really!
