Many thanks to Anne & Martin for sorting out an electrical issue that had sprung up prior to my Chimaera's MOT on Thursday. Top service.

While I was there I was shown the new Engineering Workshop which is now in place and with which they will be able to take on Aston Martin Engineering work. Paul tells me he's also now supplying and mapping the Evolution Chips which are particularly suited to Turbo Diesel engines - Good luck with that chaps!

During these harsh economic times diversification seems to be the way ahead for TVR garages.

Fingers crossed for all of the people who keep our p&j's on the road.

Seriously, does it matter ? The customer had a job done and is very happy with the service, in fact sufficiently so to post on a public forum and tell others. The customer can also see the work and investment going into Austec and was again impressed.

Richard we all know you have an axe to grind, but maybe your efforts would be better placed in finding employment instead of continually trying to cause trouble for a business that is trying to keep it's head above water in these difficult financial times. Let's not forget, the actions of a keyboard warrior or armchair expert can have an effect on real lives and employees of a business.

I don’t thing he’s stirring, for the unsuspecting punter who’s just spent his life savings on a speed 6 engine rebuild with a parts and labour guarantee, then its reasonable to have a little transparency on the company he is paying. If the phoenix has risen again, the garage would naturally not advertise the fact for obvious reasons. If one of our TVR brothers enlightens us on the facts then fair doos.

Perhaps you would like to explain this sentiment to the list of companies I have who would also like to know they can pay their employees....through no fault of their own nono

Like myself, the problem for these companies is why spend more money trying to recover it when the cookie jar is empty rolleyes

Considering these companies are told there are no cookies available posts like the OP raise a question especially when a new company is also created.....hmm...mythical bird...Phoenix springs to mind.

As you seem to know all the facts what would YOU advise these companies to tell their employees?...some of which I know.

After all its no good closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.

I have owned TVR's for the last 17 years & the one thing that has always struck me whether it has been on here or the TVRCC is the camaraderie between members, when someone sees something not right they warn others....do unto those as you would unto yourself....

Maybe I am wrong, perhaps there are people on here that want to walk around with one of these on paperbag

My only regret is that people who trusted me, some of which had even vowed never to use Austec again, brought their cars in but I have ensured they are ok & will continue to do so in the future.

Hindsight is such a wonderful thing...if knew then what I know now I would have never have found myself in this situation.

I have been enjoying myself to much out in the TVR driving, as some will testify, to worry about things like a job but for your information I do have new position lined up for the New Year.

Sorry - just returned to this thread and Christ yikes what uproar.

The Post itself:

I just thought I'd post a few nice things about a garage that got me out of a small pickle that morning without me having to leave my car there overnight. I do give a 'shout-out' most times I get some work done by a garage and if you look back in my history you'll see I've done the same for TVR Power, SC Developments and Dave Batty.

I completely failed to see any other side to this when I posted it up - it certainly wasn't aimed at anyone - it was merely an honest 'thanks' to the garage together with a quick note on what I'd been shown...and thats all.

I would like to thank 'getalife'....really intelligent dig rolleyes....for providing me with such an excellent oppourtunity to reply on his first ever post biggrin

So the question is are you a troll?

You seem incredably well informed on the subject considering you only joined PH today & how the hell do you know my employment status?? but of course if you grew some bcensoredls you would tell us who you really are bandit ......I seem to remember the same scenario when 'stones' suddenly appeared & was challenged as to their identity.

I could quite easily set up new profiles & snipe in anonomity but unlike some I have nothing to hide angel

Sorry guys, hopefully he will crawl back under whichever bridge he came out from....thats where trolls live don't they?

Well sorry guy's, thread has yet again gone way off topic and starting to descend the way a vast majority of these threads seem to go theses days.

Lets all get back to talking about Tivs which IMHO is what we do best.
