Am I wrong, or was there originally a V8 AJP engine? Wasn't it fited to Cerberas?

Is it still made? Every car now seems to have the straight six...

Apart from the cerbera 4.2 ajp8 and 4.5 ajp8. Hurrh get down to your dealer and buy one.

The general feeling is that the AJP8s days are numbered, due to cost and emissions.

But that is ok as after a shaky start eh speed 6 is proving to be an excellent engine.

As already said the AJP lives on in the Cerbera and we use them in the Tuscan Challenge series as well as in our two seater Tuscan track day cars.

THe engine still lives !!

I wonder... would re-working the head help any? There are still quite a few companies out there turning out V8s that pass emissions but most of them seem to have four or five-valve heads rather than two.

Maybe TVR could take a stab at updating the beastie and mayber liberate a few more ponies in the process...

I've always been a straight-six fan myself but there are a lot of folks out there who like their V8s and it would be a shame for TVR buyers not to have a choice for the Cerbie.
