any ideas of what plans there are for TVR camp this year at le mans?
the only reason i ask is that although i don't have a TVR my friend carl has a Cerby and i'll be following him down with most of his luggage and pushbike in my passat and we're hoping to be staying on TVR camp.

If you mean via TVRCC camping - I think they offer the passes for sale in February issue of Sprint. You have to be a Club member to order and I think in the past it's been limited to one camping pass per member.

Does that help? tongue out

Is that Carl with the Crystal Topaz Cerbera by any chance?

that's a bugger if it's one per member as i'm not joining the club just to get a ticket for le mans, think i'll have to speak to Carl and see if he knows that already.
Carls cerby is metallic green if that helps, from Lincoln

That's how I believe it was last year, may be different this year? But as demand always outstrips supply, I think they have to put this limit in? Might be worth giving them a buzz if you get chance.

If you take a look on the Le Mans forum, I am sure you will find lots of alternative camping pass suppliers and you won't be too far from a gaggle of TVRs I'm sure!

Ah, not the same Carl I think smile.

thanks Amazon, i've mailed Carl asking what he thinks, not sure what to do if that is the case but it'll likely be camping in different areas if that is the case.

was it Houx where you were last year? and was the whole campside set aside for TVRclub? if not then it wouldn't be a problem camping on the same site if i have to pitch on the otherside of the road.

thanks for you help so far

A TVRCC member can get one pass for camping which allows him to be accompanied by a non member and so can buy two entry tickets. If you camp on Houx, which not exclusively TVRCC, then you have a marked out pitch area that will allow you to erect a couple of tents if you don't want to share.

does that mean one car though? i'll be bringing Carls luggage and pushbike down in my VW passat estate while Carl will be driving his Cerby.
we'll also be having seperate tents too

I'll be at Le Mans, possibly in the TVR, but can't make it to the TVRCC camp as I'm going with work. Hope to see people there though and looking forward to the drive down. smile

Yep, I camped in Du Houx. Lots of TVRs there, but not limited to Houx - there are TVR's everywhere! smile

Okay slartibartfast, here are a couple of thoughts:

Your buy one pitch in Du Houx for the Cerb. You buy one car park pass - for your Passat. You each take a tent and pitch them both on your Houx Pass - sharing the pitch with the Cerbera - of course! In fact, park the Cerbera first and then fit your tents around it's requirements. It will like that wink.

Or, you just buy two Camping Passes. It's not impossible. See Le Mans Forum for some ideas.

yes Buy a seperate carpark pass, that's what a couple of guys in our party did. You don't have to fit the car onto the pitch site as long as you park tight to the edge you're OK and that left us with room for two tents and a small gazebo inbetween the two. That was essential as it threw it down in 2007.

You could buy another camping pass vis the Le Mans site but if it's for Houx it's unlikely to be next to the TVRCC pitch.

i'm still not quite sure/clear whether a TVR member can be acomponied by a non member in a car or whether as a passenger though cos if it means my TVRclub member can get two camping passes for two cars then the problem is solved or even one camping pass for two cars as i'm sure we can get two tents next to each other on one spot

is it possible to get the carpark pass when you arrive? or do you have to pre-order it? and any ideas what price we're talking for the carpark pass?

You can buy them there but if you're like me and want everything sorted before you get there I'd buy it off their website and have it before I arrived. wink

thanks.
it all depends really on whether Carl is bringing his cerby or not, if he doesn't bring it then we'll take my passat and it'll be one member and one non member which is fine (2 tents on one plot)
if he brings the cerby then we'll sort out the parking pass when we arrive.

thanks a million for all your help guys

Paul
