Heading off up north for a few weeks, wondered if anyone had any postcodes for any garages (TVR) round this area.
Thanks.(Or any other good tvr places to visit)

Hot bed of specialists and indies around here as you'd imagine

If you fancy visiting the Bristol Avenue site in Blackpool then there's Surface and Design ( www.surfaceanddesign.com ), D&C Trim, Lawfield Engineering (The guys who built PW's 5000M) and Fred Tonge who's building the Sagaris GTF cars.

Then There's X-Works in Kirkham, Automedon in Poulton, Greenstar in Blackpool and TrackvRoad a little bit further away in Clitheroe.

I can recommend Greenstar in Blackpool - you'll find them difficult to beat on price/service and general TVR know-how...

Well, I'll get my oar in as well! biggrin

No question that the best around here in terms of experience/knowledge and friendly service is X-Works in Kirkham. Heath and Paul really know their stuff - they were the factory service guys. I trust them completely to look after our baby. :thumb up:

So do I! From Staffordshire in fact, but the service and the price are always worth it.

I believe Green Star no longer service TVRs as of mid 2011. Their main TVR guy Dave Bradley now runs Back Home Performance near the B&Q warehouse outside St Annes, about 500 yards from the end of the M55. I took my S2 there recently for a 12000 mile service & MOT. I was very happy with the customer service and reasonable pricing. Dave was a TVR factory technician for many years, and was very knowledgeable and helpful. He clearly has great enthusiasm for the marque and wants to do the best by his customers.

I should add that I have no connection with Dave or his business, other than being a satisfied customer.

I find X Works are very good and sensibly priced as well. Quite handy for the M55 so worth calling in to have a chat with Heath and Paul.

PS And no - I'm not connected with them but they do my servicing and I'm very pleased with what they do.
