Mike Mooney, the TVR historian and 1960's Griffith expert will be at Pit 5b with the Granturas this Saturday for the 6hr Birkett Race. Come and along and meet him.

Also there will be the Tasmins boys in Pit 12E.

Hope to see you there.

Simon,

I'm trying to drum up some support for this event, but so far only a handfull of TVRs are going, although this includes a Grantura Mk1.

And at a few TVRCC local meetings .

See TVRCC for details.

I have his book, interesting to see the US version of events described in Filby. Now where can I find the 289 Griffith Roadster.

If anyone coming on saturday has a copy of the Filby book it would be great if you could bring it along so I can have a peek. I've never been able to afford any of the e-bay auctions!

Good luck to all Tiv boys on Saturday.

Sadly I will be a million miles away otherwise I would have been there.

Saw them all being unloaded Friday PM though and wished 'em good luck.

We beat the BMWs last time so must do better this year eh!

For anyone who has not been before, it's great to see such a variety out there on circuit.
From the FIA approved 'collar and silk tie brigade' of the original 750 engined cars to mega powerful 500bhp types. Withthe handicap system it all comes down to concistency and reliability!.
Hmm a TVR watchword methinks :-))

Great to have the Head Honcho of the Club slumming it again with us circuit wallas :-)

Was great to see Simon L at Thuxton last weekend.
Sorry for the 'lecture'...
Here strength to your reign!

Have fun.
Wish I were there.

Best regs

I hope as many of you who can will go by and hear Mike
at one of his various visits over there in the UK.
He has some wonderful stories to recount about the years with Griffith and knows these cars quite intimately. If you don't have his book and have any interest whatsoever in the Griffith and the earlier years of TVR, GET IT, it's a good read and I think you will enjoy Mike and his stories. A more enthusiastic fan of these cars will be hard to find!
