Visiting family next weekend in Barnes and wondered how safe the natives thought on-street parking would be for the Tiv. Thanks.

As long as it is near Barnes village you'll be fine!

Wouldn't worry unduly. I live & park around SW London, TVR has been fine (touch wood). Don't know it well, but Barnes is meant to be nice.

I'd be more worried about the students in York - those traffic cones can scratch the roof! [PS Was a student there myself].

I frequently park in all sorts of random places in London and have never had any sort of malicious damage. Barnes is a pretty nice place and there's plenty of worse places to park a nice car, both in and out of London. So, leave your radio, GPS, phone, laptop or whatever on the seat and there is a fair chance your car will damaged as someone breaks in otherwise I'd not lose a huge amount of sleep.

Agreed. TVRs tend to be looked upon with curiousity whereas cars like Porsches seem to epitomise the essence of 'banker bonus'- which, for some reason, does not appear to be currently popular with Mr. or Mrs. credit-declined.

This evening my car was parked off Ladbroke Grove for two hours and was untouched upon my return.

Perhaps this was down to it being right outside the Brazillian Juijitsu training centre wink

Now just down to the weather. It was touch and go getting out of my road in Harrogate this morning.
