The first TVRCC Middlesex Region Meeting of 2009 is on Wednesday 21st January from 7.30pm onwards at the Ace Cafe, London.

No RO this month due to bodywork damage (!)... frown

...and my TVR is away for service too.

Could always go in the Frod - or have you broken that as well?

Weather does not look promising as well........see you in Feb.

No, the TVR is OK.

The bodywork damage is to the RO.

What have you been up to then?
Fallen over while "tired and emotional" - I hope you'll be in one piece for the spring roll.

Is this a joint meet with Lotus and Marcos? I may come over with the Chim and other half in her Lotus Europa. Weather dependent.

TVR & Lotus, but sometimes Ginetta too.

Not quite, but taking the anaesthetic first could have been useful.
Trip hazard > heavy landing > bruised ribs & bashed knee.
See you at the Spring Roll.

We have a friend over from Aussie tonight, and her partner is definitely a petrolhead. He is keen to see some british built cars and tonight seems like it fits the bill at the Ace.

I'm guessing many of you have been to this meet before! He is only here for one night so I don't really want to take him into London if there is only a few cars, so advice appreciated please.

Cheers
kf

Hi Everyone,

If you own a TVR with a Speed Six engine, you might be interested to know that Colin may well come to the ACE tonight in the T350T with the Triple F (Finger Follower Free) engine.

Best Regards
Chas

What sort of time does this go on 'till?

Need to bed the new springs in and this seems like a slightly more sociable way of doing so than driving round the block.

Can somebody remind me whether or not Ace Cafe is sign posted off the North Circ (coming anti-clockwise)?

The Ace website says 11pm, which is about normal for most of their events.

Park Royal (Abbey Road) turn off, then cross over the North Circ, turn right and the Ace is on your left.

Sorry, I couldn't make it Chris, but the good news is that I'm getting my S2 back today with a full service & MOT. smile

Getting in it with cracked ribs and a dodgy knee may be more of a problem. eek

Cold winter nights seem to dissuade local TVR owners from turning up, unlike the busy summer meets (that's why we have an additional gathering in a nice warm pub).

Is there a masonic handshake or anything I should be aware of? I got there and realised I had no idea who the TVR people were. Most of the guys in the cafe seemed to be bikers, which was strange as they were outnumbered about 3-1 by Loti in the car park.

I presume Candy is the Sagaris that was parked near the door? Fantastic looking piece of kit. smile
