This weekend a pal of mine is coming up from Bath in his red S2.. this will be the 1st decent run the car will have had for over 2 years (has been off the road) & I'm really pleased for him that it's back in fine fettle.

We're going to have a pub Sunday lunch - anyone else fancy a pint / lunch too? I know it would really make his day if a another TVR or two joined in - and mine too! I'll be there in our blue 500 unless it's peeing down - have no idea what the weather is expected to do, but if it's anything like today then it will be perfect

If you can give a better indication of when and where, I might be able to trundle over...

Ah wonderful! Nice one

There's a pub near Wallingford that a goodly bunch of PHeaders met many months ago. Gets a bit busy so would mean being quite prompt to play it safe. If anyone fancies it, and the weather seems tolerable, we could perhaps have ourselves a lil' convoy from Henley-on-Thames to it ?!

The pub is the King William in Ipsden and serves good beer plus decent food, hurrah.

So I'd suggest, skies willing, meeting in Henley 11 - 11.15 for a 20 min drive there... sceneic route naturally ...!www.tvrbliss.co.uk/wmv/TVRBliss_500_01.wmv

I might be up for this if I get on ok on Saturday (having a new kitchen fitted next week - by a PHer, will feed back later). Would be good to catch up, specially as I was a bit offhand (well, on the back foot really) when I saw you at the Sideways Challenge (not intended, just didn't expect anyone to recognise me! lol)

Hello, that sounds fun. We are taking the Chim to a wedding in Oxfordshire on Saturday and staying overnight, so we could drop in on our way home to London

Damn and blast, I've been keeping my eyes peeled for an Oxfordshire meet for ages and (after missing the last one!) I could do this one except for

1) My Cerb is laid up at Topcats for a while...
2) It's my sons 2nd birthday party (houseful of pesky kids!)

... maybe next time!

If you go on Sunday, keep an eye out for the sign on the lamp post which points the way to the King William pub. Its at the bottom of the track just before you turn to the pub. Ewelme Coachworks made it for the King William years ago

I don't know why you lot are being such woosses.

Sunday lunch come rain or shine

What's a little rain between friends? You do know how to put the roof up I take it?

says the man who now drives a Jeep Cherokee (with Tuscan Challenge stickers on the side, so its nearly a TVR, almost, well ok, maybe not......)

Drag away! My missus is away (hence my two buddies coming over & messing home up) but there should be enough people around to chat with.

We're planning on stopping in Waitrose, Henley on Thames, at 11.30ish, to see if anyone else on here fancies a short drive, and so then gently moving on to the pub to arrive before noon to grab a big table. After then it might be a bit of a free for all.. but it's not a big pub so just find us.

I look like this :

or at least I did before swallowing that down (Absynthe, Prague, 3 weeks ago. Oh dear)

Ed
