I appear to have bought some of the last S02s in the country. Anyone running a cerbera on S03s? They apparently arent very good tyres.
Are TVR supplying new Cerberas with S03s or are they now using Toyos.
Maybe we could pressure Bridgestone to go back to producing S02s!!

I'm on S03's now. Can't say I've pushed the car hard enough recently to notice any pros/cons over S02's.

Used to run my Porsche on Toyo's and I thought they were an absolute bargain... perhaps not the best Tyre in the world, but fine for the performance of the car and about £50 a corner can't be bad

I read in a magazine (I think it's in Autocar) last week that TVR have switched to Toyo's for all their cars. They apparently didn't like the SO3 either.

for what it's worth I use Toyo's and they are perfect for my set up......better than SO2's even. I did hear directly from Bridgestone that they would be reproducing SO2's later but I don't know if thats just for TVR production

Mine seems to handle better in the wet, but worse in the Dry ?? strange.. And I sure don't like the way it pulls all over the road when you hit a groove...

tvr are putting Avons on the Tamora, dont know where all this stuff about Toyo's is coming from (other than they are supposedly being fitted to the Tuscan s!)

my current favorite is the conti sport contact2 - medium compound, which are absolutely superb - no tramlining (as per S03's) and grip is phenomonal, even if they did start to melt a bit on the 35th lap of brands

(and just 11 seconds off slick shod GTO pace round brands)

Has anyone tried Goodyear Eagle F1 GSC's?

I had them on my Mustang and the Viper and they were top tyres, not sure if you can get them over here though.

Other contenders in my mind would be PZero's or P6/7/7F's or Yoko A008's. Anyone tried these?

Matt.

Had the Toyos on my 400se two years ago. Fab grip wet and dry but they wear out quicker than a candle at a lonely nuns convention.
Just put Goodyear Eagle F1s on, so we'll see how they do. Prior to that had Fulda Carat Extremo's. Great Tyre! almost as much grip as the Toyos, much better mileage and more progressive break away in extremis.

yeah I'd forgotten that bit... they didn't last long at all on the 914... but good while they lasted

The 6000 series are for high perfomance saloon cars, thats probably why!

I have the P7F's on the Mini and they seem fine, although a different class of car altogether.

PZero's is what I think I will go for if I cant get S02's as and when I need to upgrade, but thats not for a good while yet I hope!

Next time you go for tyres, ask your supplier about the BridgeStone Taranza.
Got a full set on my chim....
Used to have So2 and so3's but, pay a little extra for the taranza...the grip the provide is unbelievable in the wet and dry...Just ask the Griff 500 in epsom that was behind me the other evening...

I've got some new So3's on the back of my Chimeara and they are fine. Very good in the wet, and loads of feadback for controlable overstear!
