Hi,

expensive price for your car. Sept 2001 i got my April 98 Cerbera 4.5 roso red pearl, 2 tone grey half leather, air con, tracker, 6X cd player, alloy bits,18 month TVR Sprint warranty still remaining, Full TVRSH and only 12800 miles for £22500 only problem is the exhaust.

Without getting into defensive mode - mine is a higher spec, mine is a car that a lot of people know, it is regarded as one of the best and one that has been very well cared for by its one prev and well known owner. It is a late 98 rather than early 98 which means it is better sorted.
The condition is superb. No probs bar a couple of niggles.
Think judging on price, year and miles is inappropriate. There are many bargains out there that have proved very expensive in the longer term. At least mine isnt Rosso Red.

Exactly. Did I fancy a gamble on a too few miles at £23/24K or a car with high miles and cheaper but with lots of certainty re what I was getting. Still sounds like a sensible decision to me. Ultimately they will all need an engine rebuild sometime. Mine might , or might not, be sooner than others.

Bit of a facile comment Darren. These cars are not your nomal Escort/Focus commodity purchase. Hence the lack of price guides for them. Each one must be judged on its own merits.

My '98 Chim has had 4 previous owners , the last one was for 18 months though, which has to be a promising sign .

Gazza's car is the nuts cos it JH's old one - tried and tested - watch out DB - early 98 with so few miles on the clock - keep your fingers crossed - they can be very expensive and the initial bargain turns out to be a financial drain.

Gazzab,

Lucky b*gger - so it was you then! Noticed that it was up for sale and was slightly tempted, but didnt take it any further.... In my opinion it is exactly the right car - colour, wheels and specification.....

To be honest you did get a good price for it and if I was in the market for one that is the exact one that I would have got.... well maybe not that exact one as you have it now, but you get the idea....

Cheers,

Paul
