Hello all.

Saddly on the 8th of February this year my beautiful wife Sue lost an 8 month battle with Cancer aged 46. She was a devoted TVR fan and was the driving force behind our purchase back in 2005. She supported as many events as we could attend and included the Londer Thunder run in November and the Thunder ball the following New year.........She was the life and soul of every party.

Sue spent her final days in Manorlands, a Sue Ryder Care Hospice where I will never forget the amazing people who allowed her to pass pain free, peacefully and most importantly with dignity. They are angels. Please help me to help more people this way.

www.justgiving.com/stephenmitchell2 .....One in three of us will be touched by this dreadfull disease and my reasons are clear on the donations page. Please look. She will be greatly missed.

Many thanks
Steve.( Mad Mitch.)

Thank you T C. Many of us will be touched by tragedy through our lives. Its how we act afterwards that counts. The people at Manorlands and Im sure at all the other Sue Ryder institutions are truly amazing people. Only 40% of the money they need comes from the NHS !!! The rest is from donations.

They need our support. The PistonHead comunity raised over £180,000 for the air ambulance appeal ( Richard Hammond).......If we all gave just £2.00 it would make an amazing difference to so many peoples lives and that of loved ones.

Take care my friend

You have my very deepest condolences. My father succumed to Cancer in 2004 and he too was in a Hospice. They are wonderful people and I have no idea how the do what they do.

Sadly you are so right about how many of us will be touched by this. My wife is now into her fifth year of all clear.

Take care of yourself.

They are called to do it. To them it isnt a job. They just need financial help to carry on doing what they do. As i posted before. If all the people that post on these forums gave just £2.00 it would be amazing. Sadly though the posting will be ignored and never read by many and others will do nothing after looking. It is sad.........Thank you for your post

Stevesmile

PS....Condolences over your Father but more positive with your wife. There are some good luck stories and pleased to hear one... Stay positive and enjoy every day my friend.

I've just donated mate. I don't know what to say. You are a good man for trying to help others that might be in your situation. I iamagined how I would feel, and I know nothing would ease the pain. But sharing a hug, sharing a bed would have been something. My thoughts are with you.

Lee, thank you. I find it very difficult to put into words what it feels like. Its just the most overwhelming, saddest feeling that i have ever known. If i can help others to have what both myself and Sue lost out on I will be a happy boy. Hope you have seen the pictures I posted on the post. She was a beautiful lady. Always takes the best ones first !!

Take care my friend
Steve.

Thank you Brent.....Photos cant lie. She was the most amazing lady. Whatever the fund raising falls short by I will put in myself. It will be a fitting memory for all the staff at Manorlands of, in thier words not mine " The most wonderful person they have had the pleasure to nurse.". Dont know if you read the post about the card we found addressed to the staff on clearing Sues room. It simply said inside...."To all the nurses. Thank you for looking after me and for always keeping me smiling. All my love. Sue.".......I think that says everything about her. On a personal note, the last time Sue was awake it was 3.15am on the Monday before she died. She called me to her side and asked me to promise her 3 things. That I would always be happy, never be lonely and that she wanted to go wearing her wedding dress and sparkly shoes so she could turn up in heaven and show her Mum and Dad how happy she was on our wedding day.......Always thinking of other people ahead of herself.....She is missed terribly. Take care my friend. She will be so proud of the donations.

Sincerely
Steve.
