2 B or Nos to B?

There is probably a thread on this somewhere but does anybody know the phone number for the famous but very hard to find Wizard of Nos? I am considering fitting Nitros Oxide to Chimaera after standing in the pitlane at Snetterton, nostrals full of it as a Wedge flew past on the City Region Track Day. Oh and one more thing. If i do get it done and slap a Nos badge on the back are the Plod going to pull me or do you have to hide the big fat crome bottles and keep it hush hush until they smell me pass them in the other direction. My friend seems to think the addition of Nos will finaly make my dream come true of Flames from the exhaust but i didn't think so. Thousand pounds to get it done! Is it money well spent or will i live to reget it? Chimaera S3TAY

It does not need to affect your insurance as it would only be for "Track Use" only!!!!

You can also have blow-out valves fitted. These are great. When you are revving your beast and the nos pressure reaches a certain point, it blows nos gas from these valves which can be positioned anywhere on the car. Great effect if thats what you are after (See Too Fast Too furious Skyline)

Apart from the fact that they're just venting Co2 in that. Why waste NOS?
Not too sure about this, I think I'll wait and see how many melted pistons we get.
I think that, for track use or not, you can almost guarantee that any insurance company will refuse to pay up if they find a NOS kit fitted and you haven't declared it.

Reckon you could get round this by disconnecting the Nos bottle and keeping it out of the car when not on the track.

A lad I used to work with had their kit on his Ford Ka
and a mate had a similar set up on an old Astra GTE and it was a rocket, well until the 6 minutes worth of gas ran out and at £40 a bottle it's not cheap

If you have nitros fitted to your car under law you must have the orange flamable gas sticker on the rear of your car. The plod wont bother you as long as its legal.

Not sure if it's out of your way but if you can make it to the Ace Cafe this Friday (New unofficial Middx region meeting) you may catch a glimpse of a NOS'd 4ltr chim. At a push of a button is 125bhp!!
Russ (forgotton his surname) has just had the work done so this will be his first unveiling (unless he turns up tonight which is the offical meet).
Hopefully some pictures of the event will be taken, and will be posted here somewhere, and hopefully a small write up in Sprint.

Nope as when they inspect the car they would discover it. Insurance companies are not that dumb. The ECU and connections to the engine are still a bit of a giveaway.
Well if the car was involved in a "ding" what's to stop you having the car recovered to a garage who could remove any tell tail signs, before any insurrance co. engineer appears ?
Plus I have informed my insurance co, who were cool about it, alas I wasn't when they said what the increase was on the premium was.
But at the end of the day, the nitrous kit that's fitted to my Griff, will find it's way into a Cerbera, which I intend to purely use for track days.

Because if you're in an orthopaedic ward and the insurers are on the receiving end of a £1M injury claim, you're going to be up shit creek in a barbed wire canoe.
