Anyone Underwhelmed?
Discussion
The list of posts raving about TVRs is virtually endless. However, has anyone bought one and found that reality doesn't live up to the poster on your wall. I'm not really interested in hearing about people who bought a lemon, rather those who own/owned one and don't/didn't get that famous buzz?

I have to admit i do everytime i open the garage and see that fat rear end and puny little Exhausts then climb into the uncomfortable leather seat then turn the key and hear the pathetic little engine roars into life then all the local kids giving you thumbs up signs Oh and then you put your foot down and it throws you back in your seat................
OOOOOOOOOOOOPs just realised actually no i dont
OOOOOOOOOOOOPs just realised actually no i dontDissapointed! when i bought my griffith 500 a few weeks ago is the understatement of the year i was absolutley gutted. One week after purchase it snowed and snowed and I couldn't use it for nearly two weeks, our road was completely covered with ice/snow so just not worth the risk. But i would bob out and fire her up just to hear the noise form the V8, as the old saying goes there is no substitute for CCs lol.
Dissapointed with the car? No No No No No, it does this
to my face every time i fire her up

I take it you don't own one?Oh if only i could be seen to speak! Ten years into ownership, buy a "Fender". My Griff 500 with 10k of "modifications" will be for sale when i can get it started, after the last rebuild. Will PH let everyone see this post ? I might Ebay it with full history as it doesnt owe me a penny.
Bloody hell, it was only a question. I think I get your drift....It was however a valid question. I was just curious to see if anyone had been suckered in by a test drive and the occasion of it all, only to find that lack of use/traffic/weather/speed cameras/whatever took the shine off it and made you wonder if you'd get more fun out of spending the cash on something else.
To answer the "have you driven one" question, yes I have. Two long test drives. Had a bit of a moment that frankly scared the s
t out of me, but now my blood pressure has returned to normal I am spending more time scouring the classifieds than ever. Go figure.
