Very enjoyable couple of days last week

What a great couple of days I had last week.
Tuesday took the Griff on a Car Limits activity day at North Weald.

First run was spoilt a bit by getting a clamp spring in my tyre. Andy Walsh came to the rescue with some sort of plug thing. Lasted all day and got me home without issue.
The morning was spent trying to master a high speed bend followed by a pub lunch.
The afternoon there were two circuits set up and you could swap and choose which to run on.
Two things I learnt: -
My Griff is a handful. Needs to be sorted as it's still on standard suspension and very old tyres. The others did say although I wasn't the fastest, I certainly was having the most fun
The 2nd thing I learnt is that when turning hard left with anything under half a tank of fuel the car would cut out for a second or two
Other than that the car was great. Big grins the whole day.

Wednesday I had a Drifting experience day at Santa Pod. www.driftracing.co.uk
They have five areas (2 play pits for donuts & fig 8's, 2 medium areas for "free style" drifting and 1 large circuit).
Using their cars we went through tyres by the shed load. Had loads of seat time and picked it up quickly.
The instructors were fantastic and have got my thinking about getting a cheap car to have a go myself!
This is the best experience day I've been on (although I've only done 4) and would recommend it.
