Tyre supply/fit in Cambs area
Discussion
I know the tyre topic has been done to death already but does anyone have recommendations for places specifically in Cambs for supply and fit of tyres? Just noticed that I need a pair of new rears on my Cerbera and thought I'd get it sorted out quickly by going to someone local.
Thought about going to Offords but recall my last pair of fronts (Toyos) was quite expensive when I went through them last time.

I have always used and recommended Cambridge Performance Tyres ( www.camcity.co.uk/listings/6027/ ) as they have always taken good care of my car and wheels and charged fair prices.
... That is until I went there on Saturday to get them to fit a pair of new fronts on my Elise. They are Lotus specific tyres so are not sold anywhere other than Lotus Dealers and I had driven to London the previous day to pick them up. But Cambridge Performance Tyres said they would charge me £20 + VAT to fit each tyre! Six months ago they only charged me £16 for two. I asked why it was so expensive and he said "we've got expensive machines here and we have to get our money from somewhere mate" so I asked for my keys back and drove to Kingsway Kingsway Tyres on St. Andrews Road (Cambridge 01223 352002 I think) who did an excellent job and charged £4.26 + VAT per wheel - less than a quarter of the cost!
