everything else just tries to hard......Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo and the like just aint cool. Dont get me wrong i love em, but they aren't cool. They're fan..bloody..tastic, but they're like the 'rich kid' at school, popular, clever, athletic, good looking, but a little plastic. Rather contrived, obnoxious in the negative sense, quite similar to each other if you think about it.
Take TVR, obnoxious...Yes...but nothing else compares....nothing has the elegance of a cerbera ....nothing the imagination of a Tuscan......the sheer bloodymindedness to create something like a Sagaris....they're like...someone else finish this, i've had far to much beer and i have to be at work at 8......

My feeling is that it's sad to see TVR owners knock enthusiasm from a newbie for the marque.

Do you not think it important to keep these cars in the public eye?

Who else do you expect to sell to when you wish to upgrade?

I agree with him! And I think most TVR owners will. Why else would we keep doling out big dollops of hard earned on buying them?

Paul, you know my post wasn't directed at you and I appreciate your standpoint.

I think you understand to what I referred to. Let's not slam the door (on here) to the person who just may be the person who buys your current car..

No probs Kenny. thumbup One of the things that I love about TVR's is the sheer enthusiasm they bring out in people. I never had kids running alongside the car in anything else I drove! I had 2 beautiful red series 1 E-Types which would draw admiring comments but nothing like the reaction to the Sag or previously the Tuscans. The fact that TVR can bring such joyous (albeit drunken biggrin) comments from the OP and others is something to be celebrated. My comment re automotive porn is not meant in a derogatory manner. I still get a woody every time I open my garage!

Capable, but brash and vulgar. Will always feel the need to brag a bit too loudly about its achievements and have slightly too buxom, slightly too blonde, slightly too tanned OH around him to over-shout his insecurity about a perceived lack of pedigree. TVR is beyond all that - 'take or leave'.

TVR's are just unlike any other car.

How many other performance cars get people smiling at you, asking questions, wanting to be photographed next to it?

How many other cars can get kids to say, "wow, look at that, Purple Seatbelts"

Oh yes that was a comment that sticks on my head.

TVR, the best of the best. Truly cool.

Vettes are sweet but are they not all left hookers.
