Discussion
I have read alot of posts re MA over the last few months and would like to throw my cents worth into the ring.
my first dealings with MA or rather his product was when i purchased a Tornado upgrade chip for my 5 litre from a TVR main dealer.
Very happy with the change in engine response and better fuel economy,my Chimaera was one of the faster ones before the upgrade according to my mechanic and certainly mid range punch became noticeably faster, hit the gas from 50 onwards and it just goes whatever the gear,rr'd at 320bhp(with an ACT twin plenum)running very rich.
Chip cost approx £400.i have read about complaints about the cost not least about the fact that the chip costs pence before the transfer of technology onto the chip.i don't get this argument myself surfice to say we all go out and buy cd's,you are after all paying for the content not the carrier.
we would all like our mod's to cost pence but sadly thats just dreamland, for similiar gains using different mod's £500 is just the starting point.
I have subsequently meet Mark whilst starting the setup of the car for an S-C blower, and all i can say is firstly the man is an absolute gentleman, very free with his knowledge which is entensive and very free with his telephone time.in the process of setting the car up he found that the cam was starting to wear which will obviously cost money in the short term but was way better to find before the blower is fitted.
last time i spoke to him was just after his return from hotter climes recently,he had rechipped a race car which was tailing the field and in its first race subsequently ran second which i feel sums up what you buy into with Marks knowledge of the RV8.

Totally agree with you Dermot
...MA is a genuis at mapping and has a wealth of knowledge that he is always happy to discuss....
for hours
and hours
and...
only kidding Mark you know how much I value your knowledge and help
I think there is only one criticism that can be levelled at Mark if you can call it a criticism?...He's a bit like Tigger, he is the only one and as a result get stretched a little thin at times

Support the above. Had a chip done on my 4 ltr wedge, despite being charged two or three hours labour (cannot remember exactly) they spent considerable more time than this setting up on the rollers and the end result was fantastic. More power and more drivable and smoother.
Fully recommend.
Fully recommend.

My old 460SE wedge was blessed with one of his chips and a superb performer across the range it was too.
The old adage of you get what you pay for is probably apt here.
It was indeed! The old adage of you get what you pay for is probably apt here.
150 I got out of it!
So whats the difference with MA's work compared with other TVR tuners (ie Austec and TVR Power) out there?
