I just had a rather fun conversation with a colleague in Bristol, below is a shortened version anyone here going to own up to being a new TVR owner?
Me 'Nick - how are you?'
Nick 'You drive a TVR don't you?'
M: 'Yep'
N: 'You're all barstewards'
M: ' why?'
N: ' Bloke over the road has just bought one and works shifts, wakes every bugger up when he comes home at all hours!'
M: ' '
N: ' Crappy, noisey bleedin' cars You'd better not bring yours up here '

I have had some sarcastic comments from my neighbours re my de-catted Cerbie. I usally leave home shortly after 7am. One of my neighbours says that he doesnt need an alarm clock now as I wake him up before it goes off.

If my Neighbour puts his music on too loud, (I have a garage built into the house), I just open the garage door a little and let the Tuscan rumble the house till he stops, works a treat.

Have to feel sorry for my neighbours . Every Monday morning depart for the airport at 6 am in the Chimaera . Even trying to be quiet its loud . One time when the Chimp was off the road it meant I had to take the Wedge (400SE and devastatingly loud ) so took pity on them and pushed it round the corner before starting !!!!!!

not when I'm around

Used to have to be at work for 5:45am. Residential street and Leebee exaust on the S without any sensible silencing. Neighbours slightly perturbed at the growl of it at 5:15am !! At least 3 days a week and occasional Saturdays !!

He he, I've even had the neighbour round in her dressing gown at 5:30am as I had left it running outside when I got a phone call and forgot to turn it off !!

Soon to move to Surrey Quays and live in a parade of houses. We live like hamsters over there, this'll make me popular with th neighbours !!!

The tw@t next door to me's a DJ. I've got a double garage at the back of the house, his bedrooms at the rear with single glazing, and we don't have long gardens. In the past if he's played music to loud at night I've then gone to work the next day the same time as Johno (5:15) and used the MG or TVR rather than my Rover that's parked out front - purly to miss the traffic of course

My neighbour thought my Chimaera was nosiy until I got my Cerbera - Started up my 4.5 cerbie with sports exhaust the other Sunday at 9.00am to warm the engine before going out and took a phone call and forgot!! Result -Angry neighbour on the doorstop - demanding I turn those bl**dy fans off!!

Cant wait for an early start to wake everyone up on the estate!!

Used to live in a Kensington mews street (very echo-y).

I had a V8S and then a Griff - which you would think would make me a bad neighbour, except for the fact that next door had an F355 and someone else had a Ducati. Used to be a lottery as to who got "alarm clock" duty in the mornings...

(Except for weekends, when the honour went to Coys the antique car dealers, who had a habit of firing up 1920s Blower Bentleys & similar at 8am on Saturdays...)
