watch dog last week said that insurance firm direct line (and probably all others) will only send the insured cars to there specific body and mechanical repairers, has anybody come across this with a tvr. The program said that when the car was returned it was not fit to be on the road (RAC inspection). Can you imagine a 16 year old let loose on a tvr. Mechanical and body
Makes you wonder the battle you will have if you have an accident and would you have faith in the car knowing its been repaired by a numbnut.

Not really surprising is it? I've thought for a long time that searching for an insurer who'll cover you a bit cheaper, and then another a bit cheaper than that is false economy. Price and cost are not always the same thing.
Totally agree. Pay £500.00 and get back street repairer and mechanic or £1200 and have a main dealer repair it. You hear stories about how cheap they got the insurance and they have a 30k motor. It could all end in tears if they have an accident. And then you,ve got the poor bugger who buys it latter on.
