Thinking about doing this in July.
I've looked at some of the threads on here and routes there are a plenty.
However I have a couple of questions for those who might know.
1. If travelling by motor-rail and wishing to take in Col du Turini, which is the best start point Frejus or Nice?
2. I'm thinking of doing the pass from Bormio to Davos, are there any reasons why the other way would be significantly better?
Any other useful guidance would also be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Skip the motorrail and drive. Add some time to the holiday and enjoy the roads. You really don't want the train loaders driving your TVR. It is expensive too.

Stelvio from Bormio is fun (but watch out for the single track tunnels at the bottom end, the locals don't give way - I met a bus yikes ). The Davos 'exit' is OK, but the real trip would be to continue down the 'other side' towards the North East and stop in Bolzano or similar. I stayed at a nice Sheraton in Bolzano which had an underground garage for the TVR. Then you can drive up to Cortina (past Arabba) the next day - this is possibly a more fun drive than Stelvio which is a bit overhyped.
