Are they very different beasts? apart from the obvious removable roof, what influenced your decision to buy one or the other? I like the look of both really, but for different reasons. How much difference is there in performance? I imagine the T350 handles better but not quite so much grunt. I have been driving a fairly track focused 993 that is nicely lowered and set up but lacks a bit of grunt. So which would you choose and why?

Cheers

Looks alone.

Mk2 Tuscan (2005 onwards) and T350 are equal in terms of handling etc.

A late Tuscan convertible with the T350/Tamora/Sagaris instrument cluster is a lovely thing.

There are not the same animal IMHO, The Tuscan is louder, more brash, and more of a 'fun' car. The T350, to me is a little more subtle, utterly beautiful, but more restrained than a Tuscan.

For me it was entirely based on looks! Whilst I love the Tuscan it's just that little bit too OTT!
The T350 (either c or t) is just sooo pretty! The women love it as well (just don't tell the wife)

Simple for me. I can't stand the Tuscan. Sorry, but I just don't like it. It also feels like its roll centre and centre of gravity are too high when I drove one. So it had to be a T350.

Well, it would have been a T350 only Chas persuaded me to drive a Sagaris and I was smitten by the extra stability, surer handling and better urge from the 4L engine. So I blew a stack load more money than my budget and bought a Sagaris instead. biggrin

Another vote for the T350 here, i just prefer the looks and lines of it. I do like the Tuscan but it's just a bit to OTT for my taste, same as the Sag.

Funnily enough, I initially refused to even entertain a Sag for that very reason. However, the wider track on the T350 makes a huge difference and I initially bought it in spite of its looks. They have grown on me though and I love the car now.

But everyone is different. I really don't like the looks of the Tuscan 1 for some reason, but I'll concede the Tuscan 2 and 2 conv are a big improvement.

I do really like the front of the Sag, it looks mean but i'm not so sure about the rear end, i think the T350 has more of a classic look.

I looked at all of them then settled for a Tuscan. I like the fact that you can remove the roof and rear window plus the boot space is still huge for a sports car. Try and get two set of golf clubs and clobber in a T350?

Tuscan for me too, T350 is abit to mainstream looking for me, while the Tuscan is totally unique. Tuscan is just total nuts in every way, and the MK1 interior is much more original.

Definately the Tuscan for me. I tried a T350 but couldn't get on with it, I then tried a Tuscan at the same dealer and knew it was the one for me. I do miss the V8 exhaust note of the Chimaera but the looks and outrageousness of the Tuscan are what sold it. thumbup

You've got to be joking right ? I can't think of another car that looks anything like it and the same goes for the tuscan. TVR have never done mainstream and that's their appeal. Incidentally there are far more tuscans out there than T350's.

I considered both too. Tuscan won hands down for me. More grunt and definately far better looking in my opinion. I think the 350 is a bit understated in comparison. I pick my Tuscan 2 up on Thursday!!

No one has mentioned driving position? I get the impression the Tuscan is a very big car compared with the T350?

The T350 just doesn't inspire me as much as the other models (dont get me wrong i do like it but....) I dont immediately go 'ooooh thats amazing'. I still do that when i see another Tuscan or a Cerbera or Sag. Not over keen on the MK2 convertable either. You must admit that the T350 has a more tame stying than the Tuscan?

No offence intended to owners, they are all fantastic cars, but some are more fantastic to me than others!
