Hi!
I was just wondering if any Pistonheaders are members of the Dorset branch of TVRCC? If so I'll see you at the Avon Causeway tomorrow. I bought my Tuscan 5 weeks ago but unfortunately it's in the garage at the moment with an oil light problem. If you see a battered red rover 216 then that'll be my wife and I. I wanted to put the TVRCC window sticker in the rover, but my wife wouldn't let me!

Sounds promising - Got any piccies to show us ?
I was hoping to take my SEAC to the Dorset meet and all was looking good till early last week when Richard hurt his hand (badly) and work stopped.
I've even got my insurance current !
I'm not sure, but I think it still has to go for the MoT and some other small jobs. Plus I have to pay the bill ! Check out the rebuild link off http://go.to/tvrbristol ? Piccies and story updated to about a week ago including the visit to the Golden Heart late Feb (where were you ?)

Nacnud I have a few piccies but being an internet illiterate haven't a clue how to post them - happy to put a couple on the Bristol website if you tell me how.
Good news was that the chassis was generally sound with no structural rust although more worrying were the 2 cracked tubes. Did they find any cracks on yours?? If so it would be interesting to know where??
One item of note was that when my "back end" was stripped down someone had rebuilt one of the handbrake calipers incorrectly which explains why my handbrake didnt work (I have a picture to prove!) - no prizes for guessing where the handbrake calipers were last adjusted - you might want to check yours when you get it back!!!
My opinion of Peninsular drops to a new low........
On a brighter note its good to hear that you are nearly there - I bet you cant wait - I'm suffering adrenalin deprivation after 2 months, nervous twitch, excessive drinking etc (or is that normal!)
Two SEACs at the Golden Heart should really rattle the windows! Not sure I'll be there this month, might have to go to Munich. Last month I was just too depressed - see above symptoms!!

GREAT - If you send them to me via snail mail, I will put them on the Bristol Website. I'd appreciate a few words as well please.
The last email I tried to send you (an electronic Xmas card) bounced. So if you email me via Pistonheads or Bristol website then I'll reply with a snail mail address. Alternatively, ring Sarah and she can supply my address.
A pair of SEACs - should be quite a sound !

I'm a Dorset member, but not got around to a meet yet, to busy modifying my Chimp (Black, 17" wheels, lowered, Big brakes?) hopefully i'll make it at some point! doing Mallory on Tuesday with Mads TVR, 1st of the year and a bit nervous about the mods, i'll post a report. Cheers see ya soon , Nik
thanks - No at least three thou clearance, four if I put 40psi in the tyres. Clearance is fine actualy as the springs etc are stiffer it does'nt seem to bottom out (much) it's worth it for the increased stability and looks, the wheels are BK Racing items, good build qualityc but extremeley thin laquer from new, so an extra couple of coats were added on advice from the shop, off the road untill tommorow at the moment, cained it too hard at Mallory on Tue, oops!
You have to remove that loveley easy to remove front grille, then you just push out the old indicators from the mesh, they're siliconed in, (but try to avoid loosening the mesh from the body) then clean up the area at the back of the mesh as best you can, cut yourself about twelve inches of fine tieing wire and thread through the mesh round the back of the new indicator and back through again to act as a tie whilst the silicone sets to hold in the new indicators, leave to bake for 2 hours then remove from the oven to reveal a beautifully decorated cake! goo luck
