raceline wheels

I have been thinking recently about upgrading from my early chim to a griff 500 but after having the car mot'd and coming back with no issues ive decided (i think) to keep it and just get her as i want her. I was looking at a mauritius blue griff at james agger but didnt get time to do anything about it. Anyway it had a set of gorgeous raceline alloys on it that i would love or something very similar at least. Can anyone tell me were to get a set for my chim and also what size and offset would i need?

I think the racelines are no longer available, I'd suggest take the Griff at James' for a quick test drive and whilst he's not looking.....

i would but he's sold it according to the add. anyone know of another manufacturer that can do something similar?

Those are Raceline RL7 wheels, the same style as fitted to the early Cerberas but in a 4 stud fitting rather than the 5 stud fitting used on the Cerb. Raceline went out of business back in about 2003 (due to the foot and mouth epidemic believe it or not!) - Obviously these wheels are no longer available so your only route would be to convert your car to a 5 stud hub fitting and look for some second hand Cerbera wheels, but even then you'll struggle because to the best of my knowledge Cerbs used 18" wheels front & back whereas this Griff, if it's like mine, uses 17" fonts and 18" rears. Sorry Interesting though, as was only aware of one other Griff on Racelines, Pete Best's(Apache)which is now in Holland so this means there are at least three! Rich...

Look on my profile, Compomotive MO6's are very similar and bolt straight on to the four stud hub.

They did look smart, the first owner bought them from Peninsula in around 2001 together with some upgraded Willwood front brakes and Ford Turbo based rear discs. I has made the drive a touch more choppy but its quite direct around corners and stops alot better once the brakes are heated up.

Pete (apache) on PH has done many, many miles with them on his own Griffith and he would be a good man to drop an email to non what are the pro's and con's of doing something like this.

The Racelines looked a good upgrade in the early days as they looked very similar to the Cerbera and early Tuscan wheels but with the four stud option rather than the five, which gave it a more accepted look of the day.
